Description
  • On 1st February 1709 John Sanford of Nynehead esquire leased to Edward Smocke of Milverton, mercer, lands commonly called Blacklands containing five acres within the parish of Milverton. Consideration five shillings. On 2nd February 1709 John Sanford of Nynehead esquire released the property to Edward Smocke of Milverton, mercer. Consideration £75 of silver and five pieces of gold. On 5th February 1719 Edward Smocke of Milverton, mercer leased the property to Mary Dyer of Milverton, spinster. Consideration five shillings. On 6th February 1719 Edward Smocke of Milverton, mercer, released the property to Mary Dyer of Milverton, spinster. Consideration £140. In 1765 the property was subject to a recovery. Ib 2nd April 1766 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer released the property to George Glasse of Middlesex, gentleman. Consideration ten shillings. On 3rd April 1766 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer released the property to George Glasse of Middlesex, gentleman. Consideration ten shillings. On 29th July 1767 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer leased the property to Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman. Consideration five shillings. On 30th July 1767 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer released the property to Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman. Consideration £100. On 25th April 1774 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer released the property to Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman. Consideration five shillings. On 24th January 1788 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer and Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman, leased the property to Lawrence Heard Luxton of Ash Priors, clerk. Consideration five shillings. On 25th January 1788 Joseph Pearse of Milverton, cordwainer and Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman, released the property to Lawrence Heard Luxton of Ash Priors, clerk. Consideration £220. On 31st January 1790 Reverend Lawrence Heard Luxton of Ash Priors, clerk, leased the property to Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman. Consideration five shillings. On 1st February 1790 Reverend Lawrence Heard Luxton of Ash Priors, clerk released the property to Henry Spurway of Milverton, gentleman. Consideration £220. Also: On 26th August 1843 Nicholas Broadmead as trustee released the property to J P Broadmead.
