Description
  • This Architectural practice was started in 1967 by the Architect David Brain, known for a time as Brain and Stoller, the David Brain Partnership was formed in 1986. David Brain himself retired in 1992 but the Partnership is still in business. They have worked extensively across the south of England, especially the south-west, and have undertaken restoration works on a large number of historic buildings, as well as conversions and new builds. This collection contains photographic and architectural records for some of their projects from the 1970s to 1997. These have been catalogued by the Practice's Job numbers, where known, to reflect the original development of the record sets. Series A-Z contain records from projects with an unknown job number. Within each series can be found some or all of the following sub-series of records; 1 - Photographs, 2 - Negatives, 3 - Slides, 4 - Architectural plans, and 5 - Documentary material.
