Description
1. Margaret Gay of Hatton Garden, p. St. Andrew, Holborne, c. Middlesex, Spinster, daughter of Robert Gay, late citizen and surgeon of London.
2. Richard Cromwell, of Lincoln's Inn Fields, c. Middlesex, Gent.
3. James Shayler, of Lincoln's Inn Fields, c. Middlesex, Gent.
All that messuage being in Overwear, c. Somerset, with an orchard garden and backside adjoining, containing by estimation 3a.; two paddocks of meadow near and adjoining the said messuage on the south-west side (1a.), a close of arable land called New Close (~5a.) of which 1/2a. was formerly exchanged with John Edgell for 1/2a. of meadow lying in Westweare. All lately in the occupation of James Tyley, but now in the occupation of Robert Merritt.
Also all those 2 new built messuages in the respective occupations of Thomas Whitehead, Linen Draper, and Henry Evans, Merchant Tailor; and which before they were rebuilt were in the occupation of John Lewis and James Bayly, previously one messuage called the Red Lyon, situate in Wine Street, p. Christchurch, City of Bristol.
Also 4 messuages lately in the occupation of Thomas Syms and [_______] West, and now in the occupation of James Noise, Victualler, Jacob Osborne, Free Stone Cutter, George Reynolds, Carpenter, and Susanna Stibbs, Spinster, formerly 1 messuage, situate near a place called the Horse Fair, p St. James, Bristol.
