Description
  • This collection is thought to have passed to the depositor from the Coombes family which formerly owned the village shop in Goathurst. The collection consists mainly of the papers of Thomas Mullins, senior, and Thomas Mullins, junior, who acted as land agents for the estates of the Kemys-Tynte family in Goathurst. Parish records chiefly concerning settlement and poor relief form the bulk of the collection which also includes two court rolls for the manor of Goathurst. Much of the material is discussed in an essay by the Goathurst Local History Society [see A\AHW/48 below].
